NIWA - a flashship
Artificially- not true
Atmospheric - thing that keeps it up
High-resolution - good perfect
Examined by scientists - good scientists
Submersible - submerged
Enabled - blocked
Seabed - The bottom of the sea
- How do the scientists study the reef? What are they trying to show or figure out?By diving and they are trying to discover If coral can survive was bad things in the water
- Why are the NZ scientists testing in an "artificially acidified sea water" - what does this mean? They get a bucket and put some pollution in it and see if the coral can grow.
- Why does Australia have tropical coral and NZ have cold-water coral?Because New Zealand is not close to the equator and it is very cold.
- Where does NZ cold-water coral grow? How far down? Why can't NZ have tropical coral?Around New Zealand 2500 m down and it is too because it is too cold.
- How do scientists get the cold water coral so they can study it? Because NZ corals only live in cold water
- Make a DLO showing 'before and after' type photos of coral reefs. Make a screencast and explain how coral reefs are damaged using your own words.
- Before pollution the ocean looked very good but after the pollution started the corals started dieing
